In Corpus Christi

  In the celebration of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, here in the local Church of Detroit, the regional consultation of the V National Encuentro of Hispanic / Latino Pastoral is taking place. We have already carried out the consultation at the parish level, at the diocesan level, now it is time to do it at a regional level. On June 2 and 3, delegates from the state of Michigan and Ohio meet at Sacred Heart Major Seminary to continue with the consultation process that will culminate with the V National Encuentro in Texas, next September. The number of people and activities of the V Encuentro is overwhelming. I invite you to follow this process very closely. This is a call for all Hispanics to respond to their baptismal commitment of being missionary disciples of the Gospel. The delegates of the V Regional Meeting in our parish are: Jaime and Martha Perilla, Manuel and Esther Guerrero and Father Jaime.

        In order to continue studying and implementing the pastoral letter of Archbishop Allen Vigneron: " Unleash the Gospel," this weekend at the end of our Masses we will take a few minutes to respond to a brief survey about the activities we most want to do in our parish. It is very important that everyone participates, since the answers will be considered at the next meeting of our Parish Pastoral Council.
 
 
Feliz Fiesta de Corpus Christi

        En la fiesta del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, aquí en la Iglesia local de Detroit, se está realizando la consulta regional del V Encuentro Nacional de Pastoral Hispana / Latina. Ya hemos realizado la consulta a nivel parroquial y a nivel diocesano, ahora toca hacerlo a nivel regional. Este 2 y 3 de junio, delegados del estado de Michigan y Ohio se reunen en el Seminario del Sagrado Corazón para continuar con el proceso de consulta que culminará con el V Encuentro Nacional en Texas, el próximo mes de septiembre. La cantidad de personas y actividades del V Encuentro es enorme. Yo los invito para que sigamos muy de cerca este proceso. Este es un llamado para que todos los Hispanos respondan al compromiso bautismal de ser discípulos misioneros del Evangelio. Los delegados que representan a nuestra parroquia en el V Enuenro regional son: Jaime y Martha Perilla, Manuel y Esther Guerrero y Padre Jaime Hinojos.

        En orden a continuar estudiando e implementando la carta pastoral del Arzobispo Allen Vigneron: “ Haz Llegar el Evangelio,” este fin semana al final de nuestras misas nos tomaremos unos minutos para responder a una encuesta breve acerca de las actividades que más queremos realizar en nuestra parroquia. Es muy importante que todos participen, ya que las respuestas se estudiaran en la próxima reunion de nuestro Consejo Pastoral Parroquial.
