Evangelization and Catechesis: This message could change your life forever!
In planning our annual Parish Evangelization and Catechesis, I thought of seven groups to encourage you to participate. Maybe you will find your self in one of these groups.
Group 1: You are a child, a teenager, an adult, or a senior, and have not received the Sacraments of Christian Initiation: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
Group 2: You have received the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, but you feel, disconnected from the Church. You don’t go to Mass on Sundays; you don’t read the Bible. But you would like to do it.
Group 3: You are not Catholic, but you would like to learn more about the Catholic Faith, the Bible, and the activities in the church.
Group 4: You are or consider your self an Atheists or an Agnostic. Or maybe you belong to another religious tradition different than Catholic.
Group 5: You are not affiliated to any religious tradition, but you have questions about the nature of God and the human soul, prayer in the Catholic tradition, the faith, the Bible, Spirituality, the saints, etc.
Group 6: You were validly baptized outside the Catholic Church, but would like to enter in full communion with the Catholic by the reception of the sacraments of Confirmation and the Eucharist ( First Communion).
Group 7: You are an active and dynamic Catholic, and you participate actively within the pastoral ministries in your parish, and so you feel the need and the call to share the Catholic faith (the Joy of the Gospel) with other people who are disconnected from the Church, like friends, family members, neighbors, coworkers, etc. and whom you know that they are within groups 1 through 6. And you have the conviction that they need the faith, and that they will benefit tremendously when they discover the treasures of the Catholic faith. If you, (and your family are in this group) you are being called to be a dynamic evangelizer, please register and enlist yourself as an active, intentional, and dynamic disciple of the New Evangelization.
To sum up, if you find your self in either groups 1 through 6: Come with your family and friends to explore and discover the treasures of the Catholic faith. But if you are in group 7, Come with your family and friends to share with others the treasures of the Catholic faith, the Joy of the Gospel.
We have created an environment where you may ask questions about the Bible, the Catholic faith, and any other questions in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
You will come in contact with real people who will share with us how the Word of God and the faith has made a profound difference in their lives.
